3 Arrested for Heroin Possession

On Sunday April 16, 2012 at approximately 11:30 pm, members of the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force, New York State Police and the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at 3743 Chase Rd in the Town of Ledyard, the home of Jessica L. Jones and Joseph M. Weir. As a result of the execution of this search warrant over 250 individual bags of heroin were recovered from the residence with an approximate street value of $5,000.00 as well as an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

The investigation conducted by the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force resulted in the arrest of  Jessica L. Jones, Joseph M. Weir and Jose D. Urena for one count each of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd.  Jones and Weir were additionally charged with one count each of unlawfully dealing with a child 1st as their child in common was present in the home.

Jones and Weir were both arraigned and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail on $10,000 cash / $20,000 bond and Urena was arraigned and remanded with $20,000 cash / $40,000 bond.

Attempted Assault 1st

On April 14, 2012 at approximately 0005hrs the Auburn Police Department was detailed to 52 Nelson St. for an investigation, regarding a possible assault to a child.

Upon arrival responding units located a two year old female victim, her three year old sister, the biological father, and the alleged suspect.  Preliminary reports indicate that the alleged suspect had attempted to smother the two year old child with a pillow.  Additional information was obtained to indicate the three year old female had possibly been assaulted in a similar fashion.  Both victims were transported to ACH by TLC for evaluation.  Both victims received medical attention at Auburn Community Hospital and were treated and released.

As a result of the investigation thirty one year old Nicole Fallat, 52 Nelson St. Auburn, NY was arrested.  Fallat was charged with Attempted Assault in the First degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree (previous conviction).

Fallat is currently being held at the Auburn Police Department pending arraignment.  The investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible.  This agency is requesting that anyone with any additional information please contact Lead investigator Det.
