Missing Person – Hoose

Police are asking for the public’s help with locating a missing 16 year old male who voluntarily walked away from the Cayuga Centers residential home at 101 Hamilton Ave in the City of Auburn on Tuesday August 7, 2012.
The missing juvenile is 16 year old Rockie Hoose who is originally from the Elmira, NY area in Chemung County. Hoose is described as a white male 5’7” tall and weighing approximately 155lbs with a tattoo of a cross on a chain located on his left forearm. Hoose has brown hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black and gray shirt with white stripes, dark slippers and was last seen walking on Lake Ave towards Owasco St.
Police have spoken to relatives of Hoose several times over the past week that relayed to Police they have been speaking with Hoose via the telephone, however Hoose will not advise them of his whereabouts but does relay that he is okay. It is believed that Hoose is either in the Elmira or Rochester, NY area.
The Auburn Police Department has been working with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Locater Program as well as the Chemung County Sheriff’s Department in an attempt to locate Hoose. Police would like to remind anyone who may be aiding or harboring Hoose that they could face being charged criminally.
