Neighborhood Watch

What is the Neighborhood Watch Program?
Method of joining together with the community to prevent crime and reduce fear in the neighborhood
Anybody can join
Members learn how to make their homes more secure and how to recognize and report suspicious activities in the neighborhood
What is suspicious activity?
When a person’s conduct or action does not fit the norm in the neighborhood
An occurrence that should not be happening under normal circumstances
Use your intuition – if you feel something is wrong, it’s always best to report it.
Things to look for:
Somebody in need of help
Somebody looking into cars, houses, or closed businesses
Cars, trucks, or vans driving slowly down the street without an apparent destination or with their lights off
Vehicles parked for extended time period with vehicle occupied by subject
How to report a crime:
Call 911
Give your name and address
Describe the event(s) and suspect info, in as much detail as possible
Describe the suspect’s vehicle, if applicable
